In March 2016, a corporate whistleblower received a settlement and watched as the medical device company he had reported to the US Government was found guilty and fined $646 million for a pattern of bribery and kickbacks. Included in the fine, almost fifty percent of the total amount in fact, was a criminal penalty for violating the federal anti-kickback statute which makes this the largest amount any company ever paid for breaking that federal law. SOURCE

In another 2016 high-profile case, Gretchen Carlson, former anchor at the 21st Century Fox (FOXA) unit Fox News, charged her former boss, Roger Ailes, with sexual harassment, setting off a chain reaction with other women deciding to go public with similar allegations. Ms. Carlson settled with Fox for $20 million, and Mr. Ailes lost his job, resigning on July 21. SOURCE

Courtney C. Radsch is one of the earliest proponents of the political impact of cyberactivism in the Middle East and analysts of Arab media. She defines citizen journalism “as an alternative and activist form of newsgathering and reporting that functions outside mainstream media institutions, often as a response to shortcomings in the professional journalistic field, that uses similar journalistic practices but is driven by different objectives and ideals and relies on alternative sources of legitimacy than traditional or mainstream journalism”.

    Hello Angle#3,

Charlie here. You are more than a “citizen’s journalist”. You are a Charlie’s Angle and a cut above the rest. One of two HAND-PICKED by Charlie. Only two qualified in the entire country!

See it. Report it. Eat Doughnuts!

Please carry on and make Charlie proud.

does this mean that even the writers here on BIN are leaving?

    • Mike

Quite the opposite, it means BIN is set for the next stage of growth. Expanding our content and expanding our audience.

Often times people have no idea that there is a platform on the internet where they can share the news and local corruption on a website the size of BIN.

With over 8 million viewers a month visiting this website, there’s no where else in the world the public can reach that large of an audience for free.

Free Press, the Last Frontier. Use it or lose it. Everyone is welcome to contribute to BIN and with this world gone mad, everyone needs to set an example and make a stand against evil. It’s Good vs Evil,

It’s called a STATUTE. NOT STATUE

B.I.N. provides a platform for ‘citizen journalists’ to reach 8 million+ every month, yet you don’t fact-check or even spell check any of the articles posted by your contributor “journalists”

tell me how is this different from the MSM crapaganda we’re all so enarmoured with?

  • Cousin_Jack

Kinda sounds like what my plans were, trying to get the problems of my home county and people out to the wider world, the people in the UK couldn’t care less. But why isn’t there any hotline for members of the public to report their stories to on BIN, or do they just report it to any reporter here, shouldn’t people who have witnessed a crime or had one committed towards them be just as important as the journalists? Maybe go the way of having some sort of criminal database on BIN?

Americans need to dump the non functioning two party ‘really one party’ system. There is not a single elected politician in the USA at the Federal, State, County or city council that I would trust anymore!

If I can name one would you give it another chance Anonymous? Trey Gowdy
